About Us
CollegePath LA is a community organization of volunteers who help public high school students explore careers, apply to college and thrive once they get there. We have developed a model project at John Marshall High School, an urban school in the Los Angeles Unified School District. We share our know-how and curricula with other schools and organizations. |

Volunteer Opportunities
Summer is here. Autumn is coming soon. CollegePath LA is gearing up its annual tutoring program to help rising seniors at John Marshall High School prepare their college application essays.
Students are applying to various campuses of the University of California. Some are also applying to private colleges. Some need help applying for Equal Opportunity Programs at California State University campuses, or for scholarships or other sources of financial aid. We work one-on-one with all of them. As this project attracts more students, and support from Marshall’s administration, our need for volunteers is growing. Please join us! Writing skills are useful, but tutoring experience is not required! Check back here soon for information on dates and times of this fall’s campus workshops. Please contact Susan Philips if you have any questions or would like to volunteer. |
